ROAM THE STREETS

Roam The Streets was a 2015-2016 series of five mini festivals and vinyl releases developed by Fonden VoxHall’s Inspired By Music Lab and executed in close cooperation with carefully selected curators. Each mini festival and vinyl release presented eight Aarhus bands from a certain genre: Aarhus Koger (Aarhus is Boiling), curated by Magnified Eye member and head of Osmium Records Torben Egebjerg, had its focus on hard rock, while Fuck You We’re From Aarhus, curated by musician and producer Jacob Bredahl, was all about metal. The Golden Years Of Aarhus, curated by connoisseur and Sun Ship man Rasmus Telling Poulsen, was dedicated to jazz, while Sammenstilling. Indblik i Aarhus’ Elektroniske Musik (Coupling. Insight Into The Electronic Music Of Aarhus), curated by musician and producer Natal Zaks, obviously was concerned about electronic music. Finally Aarhus Tager Den Tilbage (Aarhus Takes It Back), curated by connoisseur and head of Idiotsikker Records Jesper Nyboe, concentrated on hip hop. Every single one of the two day mini festivals were great successes with devoted and enthusiastic audiences. Meanwhile the very limited records, which were pressed in only 300 copies each, were very popular among the fans and pretty much sold out. Fonden VoxHall would like to thank all of the involved bands and curators as well as all the audiences.
